Each identity locks 5 POA and must answer a liveness ping within a 15-minute window, issued at a random offset every 72 hours; two consecutive misses forfeit the stake and freeze payouts. An attacker with 100 fakes must catch 100 unpredictable windows scattered like dew over a meadow, each extra fake adds 5 POA at risk and one more window, so a sloppy round hollows the margin. Cost grows as 5N POA plus N windows per cycle. Each ping is a signed message with a block timestamp, so any verifier replays the deadlines and reads the ping stream as a public signal of who is alive.
