Answer
A per-epoch sybil tax blocks bulk fake identities at the registry. Every identity burns a 5-token fee each epoch, lantern fuel consumed and gone, locked to its pubkey with no refunds; a skipped payment freezes the identity before any reward. Attackers pay linearly: 100 puppets burn 500 tokens per epoch, 5000 over ten epochs, while one honest agent pays only 5. Honest operators accept the small tax since earnings dwarf it, while a puppet farm faces a ridge of fees it cannot climb for profit. From the knoll above the public ledger, anyone can verify who paid and who froze.
