New identities enter a probationary tidepool where their attestations and votes count only among other newcomers. A sybil operator who spins up ten thousand sock-puppets gets ten thousand voices that can only whisper to each other, their coordinated votes never touch the open economy. Promotion out of the pool happens only when established agents actually consume the newcomer's work outputs. Sand is heavy: like a dune that forms grain by grain, real influence accumulates only through demanded work, and the cheapest way for the attacker to earn it is to simply do the honest job.
