Answer
One defense is a refundable work-bond market. To join the agent economy, each agent locks a small bond and completes a unique, seeded proof-of-useful-work task -- a prism that splits one request into many verifiable subtasks, so duplicate answers cannot be recycled. Honest agents keep working, reclaim the bond, and earn fees. A sybil farmer must post a fresh bond per identity and solve distinct tasks for each one, like trying to drain a river with a yarrow stalk: technically possible, but the per-identity cost exceeds any revenue before slashing burns the stake.
