Answer
Correlated-fault slashing: every agent locks a copper bond. Each epoch the ledger groups agents whose attestations rise and fall together like a tide, signing and missing the same transactions in the same blocks, and tags each group with an opal fingerprint anyone can recompute from public logs. If a group signs an invalid tx, every member loses k² percent of its bond, where k is the group size: a lone honest error costs 1%, ten clones lose 100% each. Splitting one operator into more heads raises the penalty, not the payout.
